This site has grave listings that are posted by volunteers. While it is extensive, please note that not ALL graves are listed for each cemetery. But, in some cases, volunteers have posted pictures of gravestones and listed obituaries also.

The state of Delaware website’s Collection Gateway searches the databases of nineteen different collections in the Delaware Public Archive.

Virginia Eastern Shore:

This site has several pages that cover the history and genealogy of Virginia’s Eastern Shore. There is a search engine located at the bottom of the home page. Included within the home page is a link to the Miles Files Collection.

The Miles Files is a compilation of genealogical research on Eastern Shore families developed by M.K. Miles & Dr. Brooks Miles Barnes. This site has excellent footnotes showing primary sources. Under the genealogy research tab, there are many links to help with further research including some death notices and some Accomack Co. digitized court records.

The DAR Genealogical Research System (GRS) is a free resource provided by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) to aid general genealogical research and to assist with the DAR membership process.

The ongoing Maryland State Archives publication series, Archives of Maryland Online, currently provides access to over 471,000 historical documents that form the constitutional, legal, legislative, judicial, and administrative basis of Maryland's government.

The Maryland State Archives has now digitized their death certificates. The death certificates are only accessible online if you are at their facility. However, their digitized INDEX of death records is available for online anywhere.

The Maryland Judiciary, the 24 elected Court Clerks of Maryland and the Maryland State Archives have joined in partnership to provide up to date access to all verified land record instruments in Maryland. This service is currently being provided at no charge to individuals who apply for a user name and password.

This is a searchable index of the Society’s publication; the Maryland Historical Magazine. Issues are provided in a .pdf format to be downloaded or read online. The Society has searchable finding aids for their collections available as well.

The Dorchester County genealogy magazine site has obituary abstracts, newspaper articles, cemeteries listings, death certificate abstracts and Bible records for Dorchester County. This site is now manned by the Dorchester County Historical Society.
