This site has several pages that cover the history and
genealogy of Virginia’s Eastern Shore. There is a search engine located at the
bottom of the home page. Included within the home page is a link to the Miles
Files Collection.
The Miles Files is a compilation of genealogical
research on Eastern Shore families developed by M.K. Miles & Dr. Brooks Miles
Barnes. This site has excellent footnotes showing primary sources. Under the
genealogy research tab, there are many links to help with further research
including some death notices and some Accomack Co. digitized court records.
