Nabb Research Center's newspaper holdings date chiefly from the mid-nineteenth to twenty-first centuries. Over four hundred bound volumes and approximately 135 microfilm reels, published in Delaware and Maryland, form the bulk of the collection. Among the rarest titles represented are the African-American newspapers, The Commonwealth, The Maryville Republican, and The Afro American. The repository also holds the local broiler trade journal from Selbyville, DE, The Peninsula Broiler Journal (1941-1951), and its successor, The Broiler Journal and Peninsula Broiler Journal (1952-1966).
