Abstract This collection contains pictures and biographical sketches of the Phillips, Cooper, and Roberts family histories.  Included are three pictures of the Cooper family with corresponding birth and death dates.  The collection also contains family reunion pamphlets, invitation and picture of Aunt Blossom’s 95th birthday party, a marriage certificate, postcards, and an excerpt from Portrait and Biographical Record of the Eastern Shore of Maryland pertaining to the family.  Included are family history charts as well.

Historical Note

The Phillips family traces their ancestry back to Col. Andrew Meade of Kerry County, Ireland and immigrated to Nansemond County, Virginia in 1728.  The Roberts family first located in Northampton County, Virginia in 1634, and Somerset County in 1650.  The Cooper family can be traced back to Sussex County Delaware in 1821.
