Historical
Note
Bounds Lott was founded near Allen, Maryland in Wicomico
County. Also referred to as the Samuel Chase House, an
ongoing debate over the house's relevance to Samuel Chase
(one of Maryland's signers for the Declaration of
Independence) is still underway. Many are trying to find
conclusive proof that Bounds Lott was the birthplace of
Chase.
