Historical
Note
The
Philadelphia Inquirer was founded in 1829 by John R. Walker
and John Norvell . The newspaper is the third-oldest
existing in the United States, and has won multiple Pulitzer
prizes. After multiple buyouts and loss of subscriptions,
the company offered an online paid-content news resource in
June 2009.
