American Origins A digital archive,
utilizing GIS technology, focusing on the settlement period of 1663 through
1759, consisting of records pertaining to the inhabitants of the neck of land
just south of the Wicomico River in Somerset County, MD currently referred to as
Mt. Vernon. |

Delmarva History Online
Dedicated to providing access to original and
interpretive materials relating to Delmarva's rich history and culture using
resources intended to benefit academic and avocational researchers, as well as
those with a general interest in Delmarva's past. |

Delmarva Settlers Features transcribed primary
documents from the seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries, biographical
profiles of the Eastern Shore's earliest settlers, narratives addressing the
unique concerns and challenges these early settlers faced, and a selection of
research materials and tools relevant to the study of Delmarva's early colonial
period.

Digitizing Delmarva's Heritage and Culture
An ongoing project that will
create an archive of digitally recorded material capturing Delmarva tradition
for the purpose of preserving, protecting and promoting the region's rich
social, cultural and historical legacy.

Teaching
American History Designed to raise student achievement by improving teachers' knowledge
and understanding of and appreciation for traditional U.S. history. By helping
teachers to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of U.S. history as a
separate subject matter within the core curriculum, these programs will improve
instruction and raise student achievement. |
