Welcome to The John Jacob Somerset County Maryland Postcards Exhibit! In
2001, John E. Jacob and Jason Rhodes published a book entitled Somerset
County In Vintage Postcards. This book takes postcards from as early as
1907 and presents them in a timeline fashion, giving the history of Somerset
County, MD through pictures. In 2007, the Nabb Research Center obtained John
Jacob's postcard collection, which contained even more pictures that just
those presented in his book. To better suit our visitors, the Nabb Research
Center has taken his Somerset County, MD postcard collection and put them on
an interactive map where you can not only see the postcards, but the
